If you are experiencing a warming or hot sensation, please do not panic. A warming sensation during gel curing is completely normal and stems from a natural chemical process called an exothermic reaction. This occurs when energy is released as the gel sets, occasionally causing a quick burst of heat.
There are a few ways to minimise this feeling. Start by avoiding excessive buffing of the natural nail—thinner nails tend to be more sensitive and may react more strongly to the heat. Also, applying thin, even layers of gel can help. With fewer active ingredients curing at once, the overall heat produced is reduced.
If you still experience discomfort, simply pause the curing by gently removing your hand from the lamp for a few seconds. This quick break slows the reaction and gives your nails a chance to cool slightly before continuing.
While the heat spike can catch you off guard, it’s a normal part of the process and doesn’t cause any damage to the natural nail.

No, shaking will cause small air bubbles to form in your polishes and will impact the quality of your application. However, we do recommend gently rolling the gel bottle between your hands and tipping it slowly in rocking motions to mix the gel together for a better application.
